I would have liked to have asked this individual what he meant by “threat to national security.” Did anyone ask him? I’m sure his logic (or lack of) was hysterical. Nevertheless, I was glad to see some coverage of the event, albiet minimal, in thestate.com. I hope to be there next year.

I did attempt to ask the man bearing the sign what he meant, but the best he could muster was, “It speaks for itself” before he ran off with the rest of his posse. The funny thing was that I spotted at least a dozen other folks sporting similar sartorial flair along the parade route and none would speak with me. I’m guessing they’re the same sort that hide behind “patriotism” to justify equally loathsome opinions.
