Let’s start a Charleston Pride Boat Parade!

I love the idea. It could be like the Christmas Boat Parade in the Harbor. We could decorate the boats with gay pride colors, Trident Knights could sponsor a boat, each of the clubs could sponsor one, the local Bear chapter could have one. Each of the PFLAG groups in the state could have a boat. Where would we start and end? We would probably need appropriate permits from the Coast Guard. How about something on Lake Moultrie or Lake Marion instead of Charleston Harbor?
Anybody? Any thoughts?
I think it should start at Ft. Moultrie go under the bridge, around the peninsula and up the Ashley then back to Moultrie.
I’m for visibility, Columbia already has a pride parade. Having it here would make it a first in the country and quite a beautiful sight.
