The guys from the Charleston Area Mpowerment Project (CHAMP) invite everyone to come out for a beach party to celebrate diversity and summer fun in the sun. There will be music, contests, and prizes all afternoon! Make sure you mark your calendars for June 30th, from 11 am to 4 pm. The festivities will be on the beach, at the very end of East Ashley Avenue near the Morris Island lighthouse. For more information or directions call Stoo or Andrew at 843-744-4062 or email at sfurtwangler@aids-services.com.

My friends and I met someone at the beach (I forgot his name) heading a group called Out and About. We are looking for more information (maybe a website) if you could assist.
Thanks
Here’s the blip from the paper:
Out.N.Bout — Social group for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and straight (GLBT friendly) people in the Charleston area to meet and get together. Join us for local events, festivals, dinners, sporting events, recreational activities, etc. This is not a political/ environmental/ social awareness-type group. The only agenda is to have fun! for more info, please e-mail out.n.bout@hotmail.com
